I would like to encourage you to read 2 Chronicles 7. It is a great piece of Scripture that describes a great and just God.

Within this chapter we see a great temple, wonderful sacrifices, and a God Who is Holy and pleased to the extent He fills the temple and leaves no room for anyone or anything else.
It's important for us to realize that we are that temple today. We need to realize that God wants to fill us to the point that there is no room for anything else, specifically things of this world.
God tells us exactly what we need to do and then gives us a wonderful promise if we are obedient in verse 14.
"if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
Maybe your life is not what you thought it would be. Maybe you are not as happy as you thought you would be. Maybe you do not have a peace about you, that you really should have.
There are four things we need to ensure we are doing:
1) Humble yourself. There is no room for pride in anything we say or do.
2) Pray. We are told to pray unceasingly. God wants to hear from us.
3) Seek His face. We need to be reading His Word, the Bible. It is the best way to learn who God really is and who God wants us to be.
4) Ask God for forgiveness of your sins. We all have things in our life that is not pleasing to God. It actually makes Him quite angry. Fortunately God loves us and has given us His Son Christ as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Tell God your wrong doings, then seriously work towards eliminating them from your life!
I would be willing to bet that if you took these steps in your life, your life would be better than you could ever imagine.
There is something different going on tonight. Take some time and sit quietly with God tonight. Clear your mind, open your heart and just rest in Him. Take some time and read your Bible. If something is bothering you, most Bibles have a section that will direct you to Scripture for those feelings you have.
My friends, God wants to hear from you tonight, don't leave Him waiting!
