If the face of adversity, Satan is going to use every trick possible to bring in a huge sense of doubt, guilt, powerlessness, lack of self worth, failure, faith questioning, are there others I've missed?

These are what I am facing currently. Facing a foreclosure and the final stages of a third divorce, Satan has been using everything in his arsenal to beat me up one side and down the other, and you know what, I am letting him.

In the face of adversity is when we need to be seeking the face of the Son that shines brightest in our darkest hour. Christ wants us to come despite our short comings, with all that we are and all that we have and when we do He welcomes us with open arms. He loves us and weeps when we fall to the tricks of the fallen one.

Not only do we need to rest in Him, but in those who hold your heart dear. It maybe hard to express oneself and let people know your pain, believe me, like I said I am there. But if we hold onto this pain and keep it to ourselves, Satan wins.

Galatians 6:2-3 (New International Version)

2Carry each other's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. 3If anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself.

I recently sent this scripture to a dear friend and now find myself needing to take my own advice. Within our own humility we can find a strength in Christ we can not know on our own.

James 4:5-7 (New International Version)

5Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the spirit he caused to live in us envies intensely?[a] 6But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
"God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble."[b]

7Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

Only through Christ can I, we, ever find what it takes to cope with lifes trials. Believe me when I say, I am tired! I know there are others going through things far worse then what I am facing, but my trials are just as real and just as easy for Satan to try and take hold of me and keep me from being the person God intends. A person who, despite earthly issues, seeks the face of His One and only Son Jesus Christ our Savior.

I, we, need to remember the big picture, that when Christ calls us home, there are no more marriages, there are no more earthly houses, there is only a life of love with the One whose very name is Christ Jesus.

What do I do now? I expect my friends to hold me accountable to my focus. A focus that see's Christ at the center of my life and not earthly struggles, for the struggles are only temporary, but Christ is permanent.
