If we were to take a good inventory of our life, categorize everything into either good or bad, the good would far out way the bad if we are seriously reading the Bible with our hearts and not just our mind. If we are not reading the Bible, what is it that we are doing with our time? Where are we focusing our eyes, on the mere words of men and the things of this world. This world does not have our best intentions at heart, but our God does!
People say that they have questions about life, but look for answers in places that cannot give them answers, at least the correct answers. People have questions of and about God, yet refuse to look in the One place that will provide them all to you, the Bible.
What a person should expect to get out of the Bible really depends on where their heart is when they are reading God’s Word. I believe that even if you are not a believer yet, but are seeking God and The Way, with your heart, God will reveal Himself to you. When seeking with an open heart someone could expect to find the character of God. People will find what is truly important in life; a love and worship of God and the sharing of this love with those around us. What should someone expect to find?
The Gift of Salvation.
